Yasmin Tang
Women's Health Remedial Massage Therapist
& Director
Fertility/Pregnancy/Postnatal/Infant

Hello I’m Yasmin, the owner and one of the Remedial Massage
Therapist’s at Wellness for ME. Above anything else I am a mum. My girls are my
world and my journey with them is why I am so passionate about women’s health.

I originally started massaging after enjoying the pampering
side of giving facials, which found me as a RMT at a day spa after completing
my diploma.

I completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage at Natural Health
Academy in 2014. Since then, I have continued to study an became a Practitioner
in Pregnancy, Fertility & Womb Healing massage and also Infant Massage. I
am always finding something else to learn.

My passion for women’s health grew as my own health concerns
grew. Whilst studying in 2014, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and the
concern for having children grew. My first pregnancy came easy with Marleah
born in 2016 but having a second child was not. After 2 early miscarriages,
Evelyn was born in 2019.

After Marleah was born I decided to venture further into
women’s health with pregnancy and infant massage. It was not long after I started
massaging as a subcontractor working with therapists who helped me to enhance
my knowledge further in the sports world where I learnt myofascial cupping.

In 2018 while pregnant with Evelyn, I studied fertility and
womb healing massage. This gave me the skills to work with women of all ages to
promote life and healing through out the abdomen.

In 2020 through all the craziness of the year, I wanted to focus
my massage on Women’s health which is when Wellness for me was born. Creating a
team of therapists to help improve the quality of health of clients and their
families.

I also strongly believe everyone is different and what works
for one may not work for the other, which is why I am happy to have the
conversation with you and help you to find your way.

Your journey is yours not mine or anyone else’s, I would
love to help you find what will help you!

Karin Bate
Remedial Massage Therapist
Remedial/soon Pregnancy

Hi, I’m Karin and I joined Wellness for me having completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage at TafeSA at the end of 2021.

I have a background in nursing and midwifery starting at the age of 18. I have worked in 3 different countries, the last 20 years of my career at Adelaide’s Women’s & Children’s hospital in the operating suites where nursing, midwifery, pediatrics and neonatology merge into a high-paced intense environment.

In 2017 I was fortunate to have an opportunity, though my husband’s work relatively easy to relocate. As my career came to a natural end. I had time to start dreaming of a career in a different area.

I see the Remedial Massage Therapy almost as an extension to my pervious career and experience. I am passionate about life quality, reducing every-day unhealthy stress and pain.

I believe that when our physical, mental, spiritual, and social aspects are in harmony we have the potential to function at a higher level where growth, humour and gratitude flourish.

Being invited to assist, encourage and being part of another person’s journey has always been an inspiration to me.

I value tailoring a remedial massage session to mett the individual client’s needs and prefernces, paying attention to detail, incorporating various techniques to address discomfort and to improve heath.

I practice deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, myofascial techniques and reflexology for relaxation. I have understanding of manual lymphatic drainage and am currently studying pregnancy massage and myofascial cupping.

It is my great pleasure to be of service to you.

Chris Malsen
Remedial Massage Therapist
Remedial/Sports/Chronic pain

Hello, I’m Chris and started at Wellness for me at the end of 2021.

After spending 20 years travelling the worls as a chef and working in some of South Australia’s top restaurants, I decided it was time for a new challenge and to help make a difference in people’s lives.

Having a long history of sports injuries and living with fibromyalgia I found massage as a form of treatment for myself, nd it changed my life.

Immediately I found a decrease in pain levels and an increase in mobility (which is essential running after my two little boys). I decided to study massage and specialise in sports massage and chronic pain management, both of which I am very passionate about.

Working with a large array of professional athletes including AFL footballers, national gymnasts, soccer players and fighters, I understand the demands sport (and life) can have on the body and would love to help you find your optimal performance no matter what that is.

I am a strong believer in building relationships to better understand you as a person and what you hope to achieve from treatment. Having someone actively engaged in bettering your health and understanding you as a person is not only your right as a client but my absolute goal as a therapist.
